Solar Astronomy and the Solar Eclipse

Hosted at Grand Cascades Lodge

Two hands holding small world globe.

Wednesday, April 3, 2024 April 3, 2024 Crystal Springs Resort

Space is limited, reservations are strongly suggested.

Discover the wild tiger in the sky, our Sun, and see it live with a solar telescope! Astronomy guide and NASA Solar System Ambassador, Zach Lichtmann, of AmazingAstroverse.com will reveal in a visually stunning presentation just what stars are and what they do. Attendees will learn how we, and most everything around us, came from ancient exploded stars! They will then observe the Sun, with its dynamic surface features and huge prominences, using a specialized solar telescope (weather permitting). The presentation will also include all you need to know about the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8.

No science degrees needed! Lichtmann makes astronomy stunningly accessible, engaging and fun!

Indoor presentation: noon.

Outdoor Solar Observation, weather pending, 1pm.

Please note that cloud coverage will determine whether or not we will be able to host the Outdoor Solar Observation.

Recommended for families with children who are 10 years and older.

For reservations, please call 844.330.1710. No cost to attend.
