The spirit of Open Play is to allow everyone to play with different players in a recreational and fun setting. Courts are available on a first, come, first served basis during this time and all players are expected to play by our Rules for Open Play. This is a great opportunity for players to come and go without the need of setting up a game and a great way to meet new players, especially if you are traveling but still want to play!
Rules for Open Play:
Open play is open to all hotel guests and Minerals Sports Club members. Please be respectful and use good sportsmanship.
Everyone must bring along a pickleball and paddle.
When you arrive at the courts, please place your paddle in the rack located on the fence, stacking left to right. The first four players in the paddle rack will move to an open court and play a single game to 11 points (win by 2). Upon completion of the game, the losing team will leave the court and put their paddles back in the rack (if they choose to play again). The winning team remains on the court and the next two paddles on the rack join the court (2 on / 2 off). Teams are encouraged to split up after playing a game together.
All players will leave the court after playing two consecutive game and may return their paddles to the paddle rack queue.
Players in the waiting queue may offer up their slot in line only to the next player in the paddle queue.
If there are no players waiting, players may continue to play for another game.
If the are no players waiting, singles may be played.
During busy times where there are eight (8) or more players waiting to play at any given time, ALL four (4) players on a court will leave the court after completion of their game and place their paddles in the queue (4 on / 4 off). Play may also be played to 9 points (win by 1).
For players who are interested in reserving court time, courts are available for rent every hour from 9am-4pm. Please call 844.330.1710 for court rentals. There is no fee for court rental.
Rental equipment is also available by visiting the Adventure Center Desk. Single Paddle + Ball: $10; or Group Paddles (up to 4) + Balls: $20.
