Day 1: Golf
It may not seem like it at the moment, but we’re fast approaching spring’s arrival. While we love skiing, snowshoeing, and snow tubing, we live and breathe golf here at Crystal Springs Resort. We offer guests easy access to six of the best golf courses in NJ, most notably the award-winning Ballyowen Golf Club. Before you know it, you’ll be making golf tee times, playing 36 holes, and sipping on craft cocktails here in the beautiful NJ Skylands. Start with 18 links-style holes at stunning Ballyowen before taking a brief lunchtime intermission at Owen’s Pub. Owen’s Pub, which overlooks Ballyowen’s wind-swept landscape, has Celtic fare, world-renowned scotch, and local craft beer. Finish your day with another round at the challenging Crystal Springs Golf Course or one of our other five courses.
Day 2: Spa Treatments
Most 3-day vacation ideas for couples and groups should include rejuvenating spa treatments at one of the two best spa resorts near NYC: luxurious Reflections Spa or modern Elements Spa. While you’ll find both spas inside the Crystal Springs Resort umbrella, both are genuinely unique in style and atmosphere. Elements, the #1 rated spa in NJ, is inspired by Shangri-La, the fictional, mystical, and harmonious paradise in James Hilton’s 1933 novel, “Lost Horizon.” You’ll notice the peaceful, pleasing use of copper, bamboo, and roses immediately. Reflections Spa is a crystalline palace featuring an 8,000 quartz crystal ceiling, fire-inspired glass art, and a deluxe hair-pampering studio. Elsewhere, the on-site Tropical Biosphere Pool Complex is the perfect place to relax when you’re not receiving treatments, fine dining, or playing golf.
Day 3: Fine Dining
Over the decades, Crystal Springs Resort has become one of the premier culinary resorts near NYC. We made it our mission to provide a genuinely diverse culinary experience ranging from four-star dining to classic American pub fare. Restaurant Latour, our crown jewel, is the finest dining experience in all of NJ. Our talented culinary team uses only locally-sourced ingredients from the area’s best farms and artisan producers. Restaurant Latour’s menu changes seasonally, but your four-course dinner could include Bangs Island mussels, blue lobster, wild mountain hare, and sweet potato mousse paired magnificently with a bottle of award-winning regional vino from the world-class Wine Cellar. We have 10 on-site restaurants that range from yummy poolside fare to a true farm-to-table dining experience in the Chef’s Garden. Are you still looking for delicious 3-day vacations ideas?
