HOW MANY GOLF COURSES ARE AVAILABLE AT CRYSTAL SPRINGS RESORT?
Crystal Springs Resort, the Northeast's premier golf resort destination, features 90 epic holes across six award-winning golf courses: Ballyowen, Black Bear, Cascades, Crystal Springs, Minerals and Wild Turkey. Nestled in the picturesque rolling hills of New Jersey's Sussex Skylands, the resort courses have been masterfully designed by the acclaimed Robert Trent Jones, Roger Rulewich and Robert von Hagge, creating unparalleled play not found at any other resort.

As the Premier Golf Resort in the Northeast, Crystal Springs Resort boasts six award-winning, upscale public golf courses. All six courses are located within a five-mile radius.
DO ANY OF THE GOLF COURSES FEATURE A PRO SHOP?

Yes, caddy service is available at Ballyowen Golf Club, the No. 1 Public Golf Course by New Jersey Monthly and one of the Top 50 Public Courses in the United States by Conde Nast's Golf World Magazine.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I MAKE A TEE TIME?
Tee times for Resort hotel guests can be made as far in advance as desired once accommodations are booked. Tee times for members can be made up to 28 days in advance and 17 days in advance for rewards members. Public golfers can make tee times up to 15 days in advance. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES AMONGST THE SIX CRYSTAL SPRINGS GOLF COURSES?
Our award-winning course options offer various topography, skill level and price points.
Ballyowen is a World-class Irish links-style course, rated No.1 in the state of New Jersey. Set across 250 acres atop a plateau, it is surrounded by rolling farmland and craggy knolls.
Black Bear was created to satisfy players of every skill level, and is the the perfect New Jersey golf course for casual and serious golfers alike. Rolling hills, pristine fairways, and beautiful water features make this one of the best golf courses in New Jersey, rated "very good to excellent" by Zagat. With brand new Trackman technology, golfers can now fine-tune their swing even more.
Cascades Golf Course is designed with playability in mind. At 3,627 yards, it features junior tees to support developing golfers and enhance accessibility. The 9-hole layout offers a convenient option for a shorter, relaxed round.

Minerals Golf Course is the perfect fairway for the family. Set at the base of Hamburg Mountain, Minerals Golf Course offers a 9-hole mountainside layout measuring over 2,305 yards. Thoughtfully designed for all skill levels, it proves a rewarding challenge for all players.
Wild Turkey is recognized as one of New Jersey's top public golf courses. The layout pairs two distinct terrains reflecting the expansiveness of Ballyowen and the rugged, multi-elevated nature of Crystal Springs. With multiple tee placements, generous fairways, and moderately contoured greens, the course offers an approachable experience for all skill levels.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN GOLF COURSE POLICIES?
Golf Carts
- A valid driver’s license is required to operate a golf cart.
- A maximum of two riders is permitted per traditional golf cart.
- All posted cart rules, signs, ropes, and directional markings must be followed.
Walking
- Walking is permitted at Ballyowen and Minerals Golf Courses.
Players & Guests
- Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on the golf course.
- Each player must have their own set of golf clubs.
- Singles, twosomes, and threesomes may be paired with other golfers.
- Spectators and non-golfers require prior approval.
Pace of Play & Course Etiquette
- Maintain pace with the group directly in front of you—not simply the group behind you.
- All instructions from course rangers, marshals, and Golf Operations staff must be followed.
- Proper golf attire is required.
Safety & Conduct
- All lightning, severe weather, and course evacuation instructions must be followed immediately.
- Outside alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
- Abusive, threatening, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the property.
WHAT IS FOOTGOLF?
FootGolf is a hybrid sport that combines elements of soccer and golf. Played on a golf course with a standard soccer ball and oversized holes, the fun game follows many of the same principles as traditional golf. Players must be at least 6 years old.
WHERE CAN I PLAY FOOTGOLF?
Crystal Springs Resort offers two FootGolf courses, located at Cascades and Minerals golf courses.
WHEN CAN I PLAY FOOTGOLF AND HOW MUCH IS IT?
The 18-hole FootGolf course at Cascades takes about 2 hours to play - $25 per person on weekdays and $30 per person on weekends. Our 9-hole FootGolf course at Minerals takes about 1 hour to play - $15 per person on weekdays and $20 per person on the weekend. Rewards members enjoy 20% savings. FootGolf is a fun teambuilding activity with various group packages available starting at $25 per person. To enhance your FootGolf experience, golf cart rentals are available for $10.

IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION TO ACCESS THE GOLF COURSES?
Yes, all guests must be six years of age or older to be on property at any of our six golf courses.
