Nature Club Outing

Eagles and Owls. We will carpool along the Delaware River on the New York side, stopping at about 6 locations looking for bald eagles. Our last stop is at Roebling Bridge in Narrowsburg. Wherever there is open water, there is a good chance of seeing these majestic birds! There will be very limited walking - two places where we might walk for a few minutes to better view the river. We will head back down to High Point by mid-afternoon. For those who are up for it, we will continue to the Wallkill River NWR to look for short-eared owls which begin hunting over the marshes just before dusk. No walking involved - we will park at the lot at Oil City Road and view from there. 

We will meet at the clubhouse at 11:15am, or you can meet at the High Point State Park office on Route 23 at noon.
