The 4 Best Team Team-Building Activities
To ensure that your corporate retreat (regardless of size and scale) is nothing short of superb, we’ve compiled four of our most popular team-building activities here at Crystal Springs Resort based on customer feedback. Whether you’re planning to treat your top performers with a blind wine tasting or promote collaboration with a stimulating scavenger hunt, your team will return to work feeling cheerful, motivated, and recharged.
- Swing N’ Sip 3-Hole Scramble Competition - The importance of team building cannot be overstated – we’ve witnessed teams learn, grow, and gel in a matter of hours. And one of our favorite summertime team-building games is the “Swing N’ Sip” competition where team members will play three holes of golf followed by a wine sampling complete with mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres. We’re known for our award-winning golf courses, farm-to-table cuisine, and jaw-dropping Wine Cellar, so this competition is the ideal way to get to know our mountainside resort.
- Farm-to-Table Team Building - Speaking of farm-to-table cuisine, this rousing culinary activity fosters creativity and teamwork. During the Farm-to-Table team builder, groups will harvest ingredients from our farm and transform them into a tasty feast. After a quick shuttle to our mountainside farm to collect a basket full of fresh ingredients, you’ll learn the tricks of the trade from one of our esteemed chefs. Each group will have one to prepare a dish in the beautiful Chef’s Garden.
- Geo-Trekking - Geo-Trekking is a high-tech scavenger hunt that cultivates shared brainwork in the natural glory of the New Jersey Skylands. Using a GPS device, each group will utilize essential skills to locate various waypoints. Numerous checkpoint challenges will push their limits. Each Geo-Trekking competition is fully customizable – in the past, we’ve utilized the forest, resort, and nearby parks.
- Blind Wine Tasting Game - One of tastiest team-building activities is the sommelier-facilitated blind wine tasting game. Teams will have approximately 15 minutes to correctly guess the region, country, continent, grape, and year of each wine label. It sounds like a daunting task, but you’d be surprised how instinctual team members can be after a pre-competition lesson and a little motivation. The game is capped off with a well-deserved tour of our spectacular Wine Cellar, which is home to an innumerable amount of award-winning labels.
